GSM CableGuard Monitor
GSM CableGuard Monitor
The GSM CableGuard Monitor is a voice and SMS (text message) dialing system used to monitor the cutting of span cable, machine power, and safety circuit status.
Key features include:
- Built-in GSM digital cellular modem (GSM service required)
- Four monitor inputs - Cable Cutting, Machine Power, Safety/Run, Tamper Alert
- Four recorded voice messages
- Memory - stores up to 10 different telephone numbers
- Specific phone numbers that can be assigned to an individual alarm input
- 12V battery for extended off-season downtime without power
- Available solar power option
Cable Armor
Cable Armor
Cable Armor is designed to deter theft in two ways. First, the guard is attached to the pipe by U-bolts at the flange connections that match the profile of the cable guard.
The center sections of the steel guard are secured by either U-bolt clamps or optional stainless steel banding, which make it difficult to cut the armor. Removal of the armor with a wrench is equally difficult due to the heavy-duty lock nuts.
Second, when properly installed, the width of the guard makes it extremely tedious to cut the span cable with bolt cutters. Cable Armor provides maximum defense when used in combination with a short piece of flexible conduit solution at the tower box. Key features include:
- Steel guards are 3 m (10') in length; clamped every 1,5 m (5') to the pipe with Heavy-Duty 1/2" U-bolts and either 3/8" stamped steel brackets or stainless steel banding
- Fits radially between the couplers and truss mounts on any diameter irrigation pipe
- 12-gauge stamped steel flange cover attaches to the U-bolt on either side of a flange and creates a tunnel for cable protection at the flanges
Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Banding
Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Banding
The Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel banding can be used in place of conventional means of securing the cable. It is spaced at the discretion of the grower, allowing for custom protection. The labor requirement to remove the banding from the span cable is tedious; please be aware that after proper banding installation, the span could become difficult to service in areas where the banding is present.
- Growers determine a custom level of deterrence. The closer the bands are spaced, the greater they deter thieves.
- Shims are installed under each stainless steel band to protect the wire.
- Bands are installed at any desired position on the pipe and on any diameter of irrigation pipe.
- Banding provides visible theft deterrence.
- Can be used in combination with other solutions for additional deterrence.
Heavy Duty Flexible Steel Conduit
Heavy Duty Flexible Steel Conduit
This conduit adds additional protection to the span cable and makes cutting the cable more difficult and time consuming. It encases the entire span cable and is held in place with stainless steel bands spaced every 1,2 m (48") or less. Shims are not required.
- Provides added deterrence for span cable cutting and theft
- Utilizes Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Banding to anchor the conduit to the span pipe
- Steel electrical connections bring the conduit and span cable into the tower box

Heavy Duty Span Cable Clamp
Heavy Duty Span Cable Clamp
Valley Heavy-Duty Cable Clamps are designed to install on Valley flanges for all pipe diameters with 8-, 10-, 12" gauge wire variations. A solid attachment is created by attaching the cable at the flanges of the span, and it cannot be stripped off easily.
The clamp is made of three parts: the flange mount, steel shim, and U-bolt with lock nuts. Key features include:
- Universal bolt pattern allows for easy installation on Valley pipe flanges
- Heavy-duty U-bolts firmly secure the cable at each span
- Steel shims protect the span cable from being damaged due to over-tightening
